Jesuita Cantat 2.0: Settlements of Shanghai ca 1860

Following last year’s success, Jesuita Cantat 2.0 brings more multi-lingual music from the Shanghai missions ca. 1860. Major works in Latin, French, and Chinese will include as well as music sung by the students and teachers at Xujiahui (Zikawei). A musical journey through Catholic missions in what has recently been called ‘China’s Hidden Century’. The lecture/concert is performed by Vox Antiqua.
