In the upcoming HymnFest 2, we are excited to host the Sức Sống Mới Bamboo Ensemble from Vietnam. Renowned for their bamboo music performances, the ensemble will provide an in-depth introduction to each bamboo instrument, showcasing its unique timbre.

Why bamboo instruments? Bamboo instruments from Vietnam are celebrated for their meticulous craftsmanship and clear sound quality, serving as a unique symbol of Vietnamese culture and an integral part of its artisanal and musical traditions.

From percussion to wind instruments, each piece exhibits distinct characteristics. The HymnFest will include performances and lecture, helping us understand the role these instruments play in Vietnamese culture and their manufacturing process.
